Carports offer excellent protection for your vehicle when either an existing garage is full or is not viable
Carport fascias can be supplied in a variety of colours to blend in with existing decor. Our surveyors can advise you on the various options available.
Fitting a carport is far from straightforward and we do not supply DIY kits or any other options for self fitting. Loads that can be imposed on carports in high winds or with heavy snowfall can be considerable with the potential to cause significant structural damage if improperly installed. GRP Canopies have been manufacturing carports since the 1990's and have installed structures in some of the most demanding regions of the UK as well as in hurricane regions in the Caribbean where they are required to withstand wind speeds of up to 147mph. As well as wind the other significant strain that can be placed on carport structures is snow loading. Our products are designed and installed with these conditions in mind which is why we are confident enough to offer a full ten year, no quibble, guarantee.
Cantilever carports, that is with no supporting posts, can extend up to 3850mm (12' 7") with the structure being supported from the wall to which it is attached. We can also install these on bungalows using special brackets that spread the load over the wall offering a secure and safe structure for years to come. If you'd like more details on our carports either request a brochure or ask for a surveyor to visit your property to discuss your requirements. As well as carefully listening to your requirements he will also measure and inspect the area allowing us to give you a custom, exact quote with no surprises or hidden extras.
Our dedicated Engineering team deals with each installation individually and your carport is manufactured for your order to the exact specification required. If the installation requires planning permission we can complete all the necessary paperwork for you and even submit the application on your behalf. With our experience in such matters and our partnership with the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) for England & Wales we can usually make this an expedient and trouble free process.
